OK, its been awhile since I last mixed up a set. It’s coming. Just don’t expect it to be soon. Be patient. As always, there’s no set date. And as always, I think it’s still pretty stupid to set a date for yourself for these types of things. You’ll get it when you’ll get it =)
This semester isn’t as busy as the others but it’s sucking up my funds each month. It doesn’t help that I have to look for items that aren’t being made anymore (like Polaroid 669 film). Just one more year!
As for games:
Rock Band 2: I still play it at least once a day. ‘Nuff Said. New DLC each week keeps me happy.
Gears of War 2: I never played the first one so I’m not really sure what’s going on. Great game nonetheless. Very awesome ride from the beginning to end with the exception of a few boring parts in between. The story is a bit corny for me but who cares about the story anyway? And why was it raining razors at one point of the game? And Horde mode is awesome.
Guitar Hero: World Tour: I seriously wanted to like this game but came off disappointed. If there’s anything that will annoy the graphic designer in me, it’ll be the inconsistent design elements and art direction present in the game. Nit picky I know and it doesn’t really affect the game directly and it shouldn’t sway your decision to buy the game. Solo career is OK. Full band experience is underwhelming. Custom track creation is not intuitive and very cumbersome to use (You have to use the guitar and/or drums to lay down notes). Sound quality is OK at best. If you must, rent it to check it out. I already traded it in along with Guitar Hero 3 (to get GoW 2 no less haha).
