Weekend Recap (06-14-09)

Quick update on some things.

  • Freelancing + Working for Pops + Summer School = Tons of fun.
  • In turn, next mix set will be put on hold.
  • Also, I will update the portfolio at a later date when I actually have some free time… and when I find all of my files.
  • Site redesign will come soon after I learn how to create WordPress themes from the ground up. Too soon? Hells nah.
  • Oh yeah! I forgot to mention that the t-shirt designs that I submitted to Threadless didn’t get printed. None of them. All of them scored under 3. Pretty bummed. Oh well. Maybe its not my market. If anyone is interested in any of the designs I submitted, please let me know. I will be taking them down from Threadless shortly.
  • Man, no one showed up at the Beat Buffet @ Ampersand despite having some people confirming they were going on Facebook. The event shut down at 1AM.
  • I will be heading to Chicago at the very end of July. Anyone have any suggestions on where to go? Specifically, places to eat.

The Beat Buffet @ Club Ampersand

Hey guys, I will be spinning at Club Ampersand this Thursday (June 11th) for the Beat Buffet. What is the Beat Buffet?

The Beat Buffet is a new thursday night get down party @ Ampersand. If you have never been to Ampersand, come check out one of the coolest spots in the city.
If you have been before and liked it, come join us, or even if you didnt like it, forget what you heard, this party is different.
For this night there is no dress code, drinks are cheap and even free for ladies, but this isnt your typical meat market ladies night.
Good music and cool people is what it’s about. Every week there will be a bevy of DJs spinning all sorts of new music, but nothing too hard. You can get your party ON, or you can kick back with a cocktail and chat with your friends in a great atmosphere.

THERE IS NO COVER AND LADIES DRINK FREE FROM 10-11:30pm.

The party this week is sponsored by The Pita Pit uptown. The first 5 people in the door get vouchers for a free meal at this new joint on Magazine st.
